Patient balance outreach on the same engine as the daily call list.

MyDentalForce Balance Outreach is patient balance outreach for dental accounts receivable, built for practices from a single office to a multi-office group. Each office gets a weekly list of patients with a balance, drawn from the practice management system; every attempt gets a logged outcome, and managers see activity and results per office. MyDentalForce handles patient balance outreach and its accountability. It is not a replacement for full revenue cycle management or for your practice management system.

What the weekly list does

How does patient balance outreach work in MyDentalForce?

MyDentalForce Balance Outreach gives each office a separate weekly list of patients who carry a balance. The balances come from the practice management system; MyDentalForce integrates with OpenDental today, so the amount on the list is the patient-portion balance recorded on the account. The list is worked the way the daily call list is worked: someone opens it, calls the patients on it, and logs an outcome on every attempt. Paid, promised, left a voicemail, disputed: each attempt ends with a result, a name and a date, so no balance sits in a state nobody can explain.

That is the accountability the daily call list already has, applied to dental accounts receivable. Managers see per-office activity and results: how many patients were on the list, how many were reached, and what the attempts produced, office by office. In a single office, the office manager and the owner read one list and one set of results. In a multi-office group, an owner or operations lead sees every office side by side.

Two related views sit next to the list. Production and collections are shown per office and rolled up, so the gap between produced and collected is visible for each location and for the whole practice. For practices with a billing team, a cross-office billing worklist tracks claims, unsent claims and accounts that need billing. That worklist supports the billing team; it does not replace claims processing, coding or payer follow-up. MyDentalForce handles patient balance outreach and its accountability, and it is not full revenue cycle management.

Most offices run two lists on the same engine. They share the logging and the manager's view and differ in almost everything else.

Questions

Balance outreach questions

Is this a revenue cycle management service?#

No. MyDentalForce Balance Outreach is patient balance outreach with accountability: a weekly list of patients with a balance for each office, an outcome logged on every attempt, and results visible to the manager per office. Claims processing, coding and payer follow-up stay with your billing team or your RCM partner. The cross-office billing worklist, which tracks claims, unsent claims and accounts that need billing, supports that team; it does not replace it. MyDentalForce makes no claim about how much a practice will collect; what it gives you is a record that every balance on the list was worked and every attempt was logged.

Where do the balances come from?#

From the practice management system. MyDentalForce integrates with OpenDental today, and the weekly balance list reflects the patient-portion balances as recorded there, so the amount the caller sees is the amount on the patient's account. Nobody exports a report or keeps a separate spreadsheet of who owes what, and there is no second version of the balance to argue about. A new office is typically live within days of getting access.

Does it work for a single office?#

Yes. A single office gets the same weekly balance list as a group, drawn from its own practice management system, with the same outcome logged on every attempt and the same results view for the office manager and the owner. Because the list is built per office from the first day, nothing changes when a second location opens; a group sees every office side by side, with one balance list and one set of results per office. The owner of a single office reads the same results view a group's operations lead reads; it simply has one office on it.

How is the balance list different from the daily call list?#

The daily call list holds patients who are due, overdue, or have unscheduled treatment, and it is worked every morning to fill the schedule. The balance list holds patients with a balance on their account, and it is worked weekly. Both run on the same engine and log an outcome on every attempt in the same way; in most offices they have a different owner and a different cadence, which is why they are kept as two lists rather than one. An office that adds the balance list keeps its daily list exactly as it was.
